Apocryphal texts

Do you think that apocrypha has any value to us?  If so, what is it?

No.  They add nothing that isn't already covered in the canon.

Actually, it was a trick question (of sorts).  ;D

Of theological value I am not sure.  But of historical value, yes they have it.  Not only can it provide a source for later beliefs or traditions within Christianity, but it can also provide a terminus ante quem for certain events or beliefs or practices.
