Who would you include on the list and where?

What do you mean "of the Bible"? Are you saying the people mentioned in the Bible, or merely associated with it? I mean would Paul get credit for being discussed in the account or also for his letters (or David for the Psalms)? If so, then I would move up St. John (of Patmos) not only for his close association with Christ in the Gospels, but also for the Gospel of John and Revelation. Also, would St. Matthew, St. Mark, and St. Luke enter the discussion as well?
Apart from that, I think a top 25 list would have Job crack the top twenty and Daniel and Eve crack at least the top twenty five.

I had to make the list controversial for discussion purposes.lol
-
Oh. Then I guess I have to wonder what your "real" list would be like. ;D
Also, I realized you have no St. James listed.
And now that I've been thinking about it, Isaiah should be moved up higher in the rankings. And you have no Ezekiel listed.
Also, curious that the Top 10 is dominated by New Testament figures, but the bottom 15 has only Old Testament people. ???
Anyway, this is quite an interesting Top 10 list. And yes, controversial. :D

I'd put David 3rd or 4th, Mary and Joseph would be a little lower under all the Gospel authors (John, Matthew, Luke, Mark would be how I order it). I would add Eve too and Noah would be in the top 10 somewhere.
-
Oh yeah - forgot about Noah.

I think it is obvious that the only way this list could be compiled would be to have a large survey done and let the results be whatever they are. In other words, you ask 5000 people to list their top 25 and then let a computer compile the averages to rank the order.

I think it could be interesting but would be greatly helped by having separate lists for Old and New Testaments.

Yes you need to diversify the categories definitely.
